Architectural Designer Job Description As a Designer 2, you will work through Revit and Sketchup software to move projects through each phase of architecture. The focus will be on large-scale public infrastructure, specifically on water and wastewater plants, commercial, public works, and civic projects. Initially, your energy will be directed toward workload management, transitioning to more business development responsibilities after the project pipeline eases. Job Duties + Designing facility layouts in Revit + Ensuring regulatory compliance + Incorporating sustainable practices + Conducting site assessments + Preparing detailed drawings + Preparing construction documents + Conducting quality control reviews + Applying sustainable design principles + Managing document revisions Essential Skills + Minimum of 3 years of experience moving projects through each phase via Revit model. + Experience in water/wastewater, public infrastructure, commercial mixed-use, and civic work. + Combined 4 years of production work in the aforementioned areas. + Proficiency in Revit and Sketchup software. + Strong communication skills for effectively communicating plans and drawings to the team. Work Environment The company currently operates on a hybrid schedule, with employees working in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The organization emphasizes teamwork and communication. The infrastructure team, consisting of approximately 15 members, collaborates to advance projects.
