Job Description

Duties

Required to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner
Package fresh meat in bags or film
Load packages into machinery
Box and weigh up fresh meat products
Weight fresh meat
Place labels on packages and trays
Apply bone guard to fresh meat
Dust bone saw particles off fresh meat
Learn meat cutting skills
Cutting trim
Push/Pull pump jack
Sanitation duties as assigned
Adhere to all corporate safety procedures
Comply with all personal protection equipment (PPE) requirements
Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Heavy lifting ability up to 75+ pounds
Able to work in a cold environment
Use company equipment and tools only as properly authorized
Maintain good attendance
Work well with co-workers in a team atmosphere
Self-motivated

Education / Training

High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic reading and writing skills

Related Experience/Requirements

Meat manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift, step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed.
Able to stand for long periods of time
Work in a cold refrigerated environment

Full-Time $15.50-$16.00
